Jyotiṣa Guru. Pt. Sanjay Rath belongs to a traditional family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village of Puri, Orissa, which trace their lineage back to Shri Achyuta Das (Sri Achyutananda). His grandfather, the late Pandit Jagannath Rath, was the Jyotish Ratna of Orissa and authored many books on Jyotish. Pt Rath is the teacher of Bṛhat Parāśara Hora Sastra, Jaimini Upadeśa Sutras and the Shiva Mahāpurāṇa and has many students around the world. He has been teaching in the Faculty Development Programme of the Government of India, which aims to educate professors and lecturers across universities in India about traditional knowledge. Author of several renowned jyotiṣa books such as Crux of Vedic Astrology, Vedic Remedies in Astrology, Jaimini Maharishi’s Upadeśa Sutras, Viṁśottari and Udu Dasas, Narayana Dasa, Bṛhat Nakṣatra etc. Pt Rath teaches, lectures, and consults extensively and he has students and clients all over the world.
